We develop for Alcon 3D animations to promote their medical equipments and train surgeons. This time, for ESCRS, Alcon wanted to create an experience to encourage VIP surgeons to upgrade their surgery by using Higher Medical instruments than the ones they use currently.
To do so, with Alcon, we created the “Elevate your surgery” experience for the ESCRS. It is a fully immersive experience with 360° sound design and 3D stereoscopically animation.
Some VIP surgeons, had the chance to be invited to try this animation on Alcon’s booth. Once arrived, an hostess invited them to reply a questionnaire onto an iPad to prepare the animation that will be displayed afterward depending on their replies.
They were then invited to go upstairs and wear 3D glasses. Once ready, the animation was displayed on 3D screens and the surgeon was surrounded with sound design 3D animation, in the dark to fully experiment the 3D immersive experience.
Congress of the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) is a major event in ophthalmology in Europe.
Alcon is one of the main actors in the different areas and always gets one of the largest stand on site to promote its different medical equipments.
Here, the topic was “Elevate your surgery” and the objective was to provide a very high value experience for some few VIP surgeons, no matter how long it takes. It was the major animation of this congress edition.
We first designed 3D drawings of different concepts for the experience and the elevating platform has made the unanimity. Then, we customised the look and feel and the out branding with the client and graphic designer.
We then drew technical plans for the booth builder and kept supporting with technical aspects according to congress and capabilities considerations (safety, costs, timing…). We always found solutions until the final step. We also were on site during the buildup to help and ensure everything was conform to the initial plan and could guaranty the best experience ever.
